Capitalism: a ghost story

Arundhati Roy talks about the impact of economic globalization on Third World countries. She argues that the exploitation of workers on the margins of the global capitalist system goes largely unnoticed, even though the negative impact is huge (since the mid-1990s, for example, hundreds of thousands of farmers in India have committed suicide because their livelihoods have been destroyed). Ms. Roy spoke at an event hosted by The New School in New York City.
