Can you refrain from making negative comments about yourself and others for five days? Take up Womankind‘s ‘compassion’ challenge and get published in the next issue of Womankind magazine.
To act compassionately towards yourself and others involves being aware of your thoughts and actions and, in particular, attempting to halt negative and judgemental attitudes and views, by framing them in a more positive light.
Starting this Wednesday 6 December until Sunday 10 December 2017 (5 days in total), we want you to try (at least) to stop yourself from speaking negatively, and instead, attempt to view the person, or situation, or yourself, from a more positive angle.
We’d like you to document this process in a daily diary. How often do you think negatively about yourself and others? And how difficult was it to re-direct negative thoughts and actions into more helpful and positive territory?
Continue this for 5 days straight – and then send us your 5-day diary to firstname.lastname@example.org, no later than Tuesday 12 December, 2017.
