There are merits in living a contrarian life. Much like those contrarian investors you read about who buy shares when…
Have you always wanted to learn to draw, or paint, or incorporate some kind of art practice into your daily schedule? Well, now is your chance to turn this desire into a habit. Our upcoming challenge – starting this Wednesday, 5 June, is to do art for at least 5 minutes a day, and then write about your experiences in a diary. You may wish to spend the time drawing, painting, sculpting, or undertaking some other art practice.
For five days we encourage you to write a diary about your time doing art for five minutes a day, such as the difficulty of finding time and space within a busy day; the subjects you choose as inspiration; the effects of doing art on your mental state; the people you meet, and the challenges you face. You may find that starting something new is difficult to commit to in a busy week, that you struggle to keep your spirits up, or you may find it much easier than you anticipated.
Starting this Wednesday 5 June until Sunday 9 June – the challenge goes for five days in total. Once done, send us your five-day diary to email@example.com, no later than Tuesday 11 June, 2019.
Womankind will publish some diary entries in our upcoming issue. You’re encouraged to read previous ‘challenges’ published in Womankind magazine for an idea of style.
Word length, around 150-200 words a day.
